You don’t need medical experience to become a hospice volunteer. Compassion, reliability, and a willingness to serve are what matter most. Living Waters Hospice provides the training and support you need to feel confident in your role.

What Volunteering For Hospice Looks Like

  • Spending quiet time visiting with patients
  • Reading, talking, listening, or sharing hobbies
  • Writing letters or helping patients communicate with loved ones

Training & Ongoing Support

Before working with patients, every volunteer completes Living Waters Hospice’s volunteer training program. The training prepares you for your role, answers your questions, and helps you feel comfortable providing compassionate support.

Throughout your volunteer experience, you’ll continue receiving guidance, education, and support from our Volunteer Coordinator and care team.

Volunteer Commitment

  • We ask our volunteers to:
  • Complete our volunteer training program
  • Commit to approximately one year of service
  • Serve at least two hours each week, based on patient needs
  • Maintain reliable transportation for patient visits
